Writers block is very common among writers. This is a sudden cessation in the thought flow. This is the reason for calling writers block as thought block. Writers block can happen to even an experienced writer. It depends on the place and time. Commonly when the flow of thought is disturbed by some distraction, writers block can occur.

This article tells a few simple and easy methods of preventing and overcoming writers block.

1. Privacy while writing:
The first thing all writers will need is privacy. Very few writers will be able to concentrate when they are in a crowd. A writer may get ideas for an article or story while being in a crowd, but the actual writing of the piece needs peace. Writers are not artists. Artists like crowded places to capture it on their canvas. When writers sit in a crowded place to do their work, they may end up doing nothing. Writers block is very common when writers are disturbed while having a flow of thought.

2. Hints: If you are a writer who is scared that you might get a thought block, try to get a writing done with only the important points. This will prevent your thoughts from stopping midway. You can add the bits and pieces to fill the story later.

3. Give time and take a break: When a writer does get a block of thought, it is better not to break the head immediately trying to recapture the flow. It may not work out. Writers need time to get over the block. Taking a break is a great way of regaining the flow of thought.

4. Start work on another project: If you are a writer with deadlines, then start work on the next project on your agenda. When you keep your mind working, the block of mind for the previous work may be broken and the flow of thought may start again for you to be able to complete the work. This is another easy method of preventing and overcoming writers block.

5. Another line of thought: Sometimes, it may just be your hard luck and you may not be able to break the block of thought. The next best way of overcoming the thought block is to start pondering another line of thought for your story. It may work out better than the previous writing.

These are the few tips on simple and easy methods of preventing thought blocks when you write.
