Management is an art of getting the things done by others in an efficient way and making good decisions. Leadership tells us about getting the things done in a better way. Leadership can be classified into autocratic leadership and democratic leadership. But an autocratic leader cannot get success in the long run. It can work only in the short run. But the democratic leadership will succeed always. A leader has to understand his subordinates and he should meet the demands of them, so that they will meet his demands. A good leader has to maintain a good rapport with his subordinates. He should be like a friend, more than being a leader. He should fight for his people. Actually good leaders are not born, but they are made. Leader has to maintain good image for him in the society, which makes people to respect his words. The -faith- is an important factory which he has to keep it up. We have the good examples of leadership like Mahatma Gandhi, who fought for the freedom with his anti leprosy concept. It is the quality of the leader, which can unite the people in achievement of a difficult task. The history teaches us about the leaders of past and their success or defeat. So a good leader should have a good knowledge of history and he should learn from it. In building a developed state the leader plays the key role in it. Management of the crisis is another quality the leader should. Leader can settle the crisis using his authority or power. But it is very important that the crisis has been settled in a way that the parties involved in it respects his decision.
