The internet has truly diversified itself in the past few years to include a plethora of new languages to its dimensions. There are various online resources for learning foreign languages. Here are listed of a few tools and advices: 1. Basics : Before you go in depth, you must know the basics of any languages. These include the alphabets, numbers, sounds and a few simple vocabulary skills like days of the week, months etc. 2. Vocabulary practice : Various websites offer a wide range of services to improve your vocabulary. These include a word a day newsletters, vocab games and exercises. Simple phrases like greetings (Hello, Good morning etc.) are very good to get started on this. 3. Pronunciation : To speak a language properly, you must listen to it being spoken by a native. Various websites offer podcasts of the language with simple lessons. These are prepared by native speakers of the language and can help you to be certain about your pronunciation. If you have a friend who is a native speaker of that language, ty to practice by conversing with him. 4. Grammar : Rules are rules. This is true in language as well. The grammar of all languages have their peculiarities and must be learned by practice. A few languages have simple rules for grammar but some languages really give you a tough time understanding the rules. 5. Games : Fun way of learning a language is to play with it. Word games in the language improve your vocabulary without boring you. many websites offer free games in many languages. 6. Conversations : Conversational part of the language is the most important as it shows your hold over the language. You can read sample conversations or listen to podcasts online to get a feel of how to communicate. 7. Language Learning packages : These packages offer books and CDs for learning the language in a quick and easy way. Many companies have their products in the market for various languages at various prices. You can easily find online resources for widely spoken languages like English, French, Spanish, German etc. Packages like Rosetta stone are well recognized. 8. Books, Movies and songs : Once you have reached a certain level of understanding the language, you can try reading novels, watching movies and listening to songs in that language.
