There is a custom to respect girls and women in our great country. It is true that women are given first priority in all traditional aspects, not only at home but elsewhere in the society as well. Modern day girls have seemed to forgotten our culture, heritage, patience and self control they were once famous for. Now a days most of the girls are not being respected at their work place or at their study place because they often lack traditional values. They do have not the appropriate qualities or attitude they once had which impressed our society and made them look holy and great. Modern Indian girls are being over influenced by western culture. Most of the girls in the modern tradition neglect not only their responsibilities they should ideally carry, but also the basic culture for which India has been famous for. Many modern girls often fail to notice the desires and hopes of their parents. Few decades back there was no chance for girls to pursue education as freely as today. But now a days parents give a lot of freedom to their daughters to prove themselves in the society. They are taking a personal risk by giving freedom to these girls which is truly excellent, but few of these girls utilize this freedom in a bad way. They tend to totally ignore the traditional values and teachings their parents had been giving since childhood. Now a days it's common and unfortunate to see modern girls imitate others in all aspects like dressing, smoking, drinking, visiting pubs, taking drugs even opting for live-in relationships. Patience in the girls always has always been respected, patience and self control is a rare quality we expect from Indian girls. Usually the girls who obey their superiors/parents and give good guidelines to juniors are always respected by everyone in the society. Individuality a great quality which always gives some name and fame in their life. Girl with some indifference towards the activities she performs bring her bad impression. Girls should have responsibility in all cases , only then they will be respected forever. As a mother, daughter and well wisher, I believe that the girls should play the roles with more care and dedication, there should be a balance between modern living and traditional values. Unlike the girls without good attitude towards life , a girl should have the qualities like control over the mind, ideal behaviour, good manners, way of talking, way of dressing etc. In the countries like India, girls are always respected by everyone in the society when she carries with good qualities, with a balance between western influence and traditional values.
