Interview is the first step in the process of getting a desired job. Many people feel a bit nervous to face the interviews, especially fresh graduates and even a few experience employees. Of course it happens with majority of people in the beginning of the career since they just come out of colleges by completing their education and searching a job is completely a new task for them. Interviews are many kinds depending on the nature of the job and type of industry. In Multinational companies, BPOs, etc we can see non-voice process, voice-process, e-mail support process etc. accordingly interviews will be conducted by the employers. If we discuss about the interviews of voice-process, there will be multiple round of interviews such as one-minute speech round, group discussion on a topic, written test and final face to face interview round. It is because the nature of job involves the regular interaction with the customers on phone most of the times and they will be given a set number of targets in terms of calling or verbal interaction with the customers and hence company looks at the people who can interact in a better way in all aspects. Non-voice process interview contains written test, typing test (depends on job requirement) and followed by final face to face round of interview. This process happens commonly in many of the companies and can differ a little in few companies. A fresher interview will have the questions more on their recently finished education part, strengths, weaknesses and interests, etc. An experienced employee interview will have the questions related to current job, achievements in career, reason for leaving job and about subject mostly. Let's discuss few essential face to face interview skills which would help you to attend the interviews successfully: Essential interview skills: 1. Before attending an interview, dress-up neatly in a formal wear, go within the specified time to the location and just enter into the interview hall with full of confidence and energy levels. 2. Consider that every interview is very important, so fully prepare, practice pro-actively and attend. It even improves your confidence levels to face the interview 3. Be relaxed before attending interview; do not think about your past experiences, personal issues and other activities 4. Do not concentrate on what is going to be happened after the interview, just think about interacting with the interviewer. The person who is taking your interview also initially came from your position only. So think about that, your hard work never goes in vain. If you can answer confidently, you would definitely reach your goal. 5. If you are an experienced employee and attending the interview, need to clearly know about your current job profile, since the interviewer observes that how well you can present your current roles and responsibilities. Never say negatively about present company that would create a negative impact in terms of short-listing your resume. 6. Due to any reason if you are not selected in the interview, take it as an experience, learn from that experience and try to improve the part which you couldn't explain as expected. 7. Never give-up attending the interviews, every failure is an experience so think that way and it shows the way for your success.
