Today morning, while I was driving back from the local market, I noticed my neighbour kid slip into a building around the street. To my anxiety when I peeped in a little more, I was astonished to find, it was a school building! Just a three-storey building with a label!I even wondered if there was enough room to the students.

Few years ago, school was huge consisting of a playground, basket-ball courts, morning assembly, a big liabrary, sports day and so much fun. These days the essence of school is missing. Recreation is very important for kids.

Life of a kid!

A nine year old kid is as busy as a corporate professional and may be works even harder. yes! an average kid, in the cities go to school around 9am in the morning and comes back at 3pm or 4pm. No, that is not all, they he have to run for the tuition, for the subjects, he unfortunately could not score well. After that, he have to battle with the bundle of homework and later study the course subjects. He would hardly have time to even catch some breath. After a long tiring day, these kids do not need any stories to be lulled. The aching body and overloaded head do that part. Parents do not even spare them in the mornings. The Morning tutions await, even before step out from there dreamland. Recreation is an important part of every kids life.

The outlook of education has diversely changed since a decade. All that the child has to do is study and only study. It is no less than a child labour. They are not allowed to even think liberally. Everything is a schedule for them. Personal interests are trodden, like it is a sin. We all know that, every individual need some kind of recreation. Children need it more, for the overall growth and better efficiency. It is the responsibility of the parents to take care of their children. And encourage healthy competition. Just because someone got more marks, doesn't mean your kid is useless. Everyone is blessed with something and with certain amount of I. Q. Just let them polish their skills. Parents should stop trying to make them into rocket scientist since the day they joined the school.

We all have crossed that stage, so all of us know, what would happen to the tender minds. Because of the unending stress, children are facing many health problems and physical fitness is not upto the mark. Entertainment and over all development is important for every child. Else they will end up like a frog in the well.

Recreation is a must for kids!

Let them play in the evenings, Let them choose a hobby or recreation they enjoy. Encourage them to read books not just general knowledge but story books and enjoy taking a tour into fantasy world. . . cycling , yoga, dance, music, painting. . the list is endless. . .

Let us take initiative and work for tender minds. . .
Else, there would come a day, when we would narrate stories to our grand children saying, "long long ago there was a school. . . "
