The syllabuses of colleges are designed by the experienced lecturers from different colleges. But the question is, can these lecturers who do not have the experience in actual working environment of the corporate world, design the syllabus for the students? Can the students who have studied the syllabus framed by the team of lecturers equip themselves for the corporate requirements? Have the universities considered these factors? Why most of the students do not get selected in campus interviews? Can't the universities hire the experts from the corporate world? Are the universities taking undue advantage by getting the work of framing syllabus done by the lecturers without paying them? Are the universities aware of its effect in the career of the students? Are the students aware of this fact, when they are in college? Are we creating the awareness on such things? The syllabuses of the colleges are still giving much importance to the bogus, irrelevant or outdated theories given hundreds or thousands of years ago. A student would come to know about it, only when he or she reaches the corporate world. Even most of the innocent lecturers have the knowledge of just what is in books. Many times, they fail to notice and correct the printing mistakes in the books. The syllabus and the text book framed and given by the universities have become like a bible for the lecturers and students. How long is it going to work? Students are just concentrating on passing the exams; lectures are just concentrating on finishing the syllabus in the specified number of hours. Universities are honoring any student who can learn by heart and omit the things from text books into the examination papers. Neither the lectures nor the students are bothered about teaching and learning the things required for the corporate world. Shall we make the universities, students and lectures aware about these things?
