Human body is like a vehicle which need to be kept healthy and fit so that it lasts longer and gives least troubles on the way. A balanced nutrition, regular exercise, proper sleep and a less stressful lifestyle are the key to a long healthy life. Body building and fitness are important things in the life of all human beings. When we are young, we do not realize the importance of it because in our young age we possess a lot of natural strength and our body is capable of healing a lot of wear and tear faster. But as we reach our mid-age (40's) we start to realize the importance of good health and an urge to remain fit. In the passion of young age, a person tends to acquire many bad habits like smoking, drinking, chewing betel nuts etc, which bring a temporary mental happiness. But all these addictions gradually reduce the physical strength of a person and makes him or her weak and also damage the immune system. By the time most people realize that they have not been taking care of their body, its too late. Even if you realize it earlier, some damage has already been done and it is irreversible. There is a saying "Prevention is better than cure". Therefore maintaining health at a age young age proves very effective. Although health and fitness equipments are costly and not everyone can buy them for home use, but there are many health and fitness clubs and their monthly fee is very mush in the reach of common people. These fitness clubs not only offer health and fitness services at the affordable membership fees but you can hire a personal fitness trainer to guide you appropriately. This is one of the best way to maintain your personal health and fitness. Human resources of the country play a major role in its development. A lack of healthy manpower in the country is a roadblock towards it's development, even if that country is rich in other resources. Therefore maintenance of health and fitness should be given a very high importance. Tips to remain healthy and fit: * Human body needs carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals for proper functioning and in order to remain fit. * Proper food: Eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Wheat, Rice and meat are also important and should be taken in a correct ratio. * Keep physically fit, running, walking and lifting some weights for 30 minutes to 1 hour will help you to keep you body fit. * Go for annual checkups with your doctor, even if you feel fit. This will help you to keep away illnesses at an early stage. * You should not take up too much of work pressures, its important to lead a happy stress free life. * Never over do things. It is important to maintaining a good health not just for you but for your loved ones too.
