Dogs are man's best friend and there are different kinds of dogs that are available in the world. The breeds of the dogs are of varied kinds. In fact the dogs are bred according to their breeds because each of the dogs has a specific purpose. The sheep dogs are usually used so that they are able to make the sheep come in line. These are usually used by the shepherds. Similarly, Pomeranians are used by families as pets because they are more docile. There are certain dogs that are used mainly for hinting. Other dogs are used in the bomb squads because of their uncanny ability to smell out chemicals or bombs. These are the different varieties of dogs.

Selecting the best dog in a sale:

There are various factors that have to be considered before a person is able to buy a dog from the place where the dog is sold. These include the following factors:

1. The vaccination of the dog:

The vaccination of the dog is a very important factor and the person should make sure that the dogs are vaccinated. This is because if the dog in not vaccinated, it is dangerous and can either cause disease in the dog or it can even cause disease in the people who are around the dog.

2. The breed of the dog:

There are some people who would like to have a pure breed dog and they buy these pure breed dogs based on the certificate that is given with the dog. It is very important to understand that the authenticity of these certificates should be ensured so that one is not cheated.

3. The need for the right kind of dog:

The selection of the dog also depends on the need of the dog by the person concerned. If you are a hunter and are planning to buy a dog, then you should only buy a hunting dog. If the family is living in a high rise apartment with very limited space, then they should plan and buy an appropriate dog that will fit in the house. There is no point in buying a big dog that cannot fit in the small house.

4. Pedigree:

The ancestors of the dogs are also very important. As already said about pure breed dogs, pedigreed dogs need a certificate that says they are authentic. The value of the dog and also every one of its offspring increases if the dog is a pedigreed one. These dogs are usually entered in competitions and are very smart. These dogs can be said to be the ones that are genetically perfect or at least near perfect dogs. These dogs are sought after by many people.

Some of these are the factors that have to be considered before buying a dog. There are many more criteria that are also useful when a person decides to buy a dog, but most of these factors change from time to time and also depend on the people who are buying the dogs.
