People are very interested in gardening because it gives relaxation and also keeps a person happy by looking at the plants grow. These days there are very few places where people can grow plants because of the urbanization. People live in apartments and there is no way they can experience the joy that growing plants can give.

This joy is the reason for people to grow indoor plants. This is because when people try to grow these plants inside the house, they have to give less care for these plants and also need not spend a lot of time on these plants. Time is a commodity that is in short supply for people living in cities. They are always busy with their work and social commitments.

The money plant is very easy to grow and also survives with little care. This is the reason it is grown by many people. If it needs a lot of care and attention, people may not be willing to grow it in their houses. The plant has beautiful green leaves that are succulent and fleshy. This is because they store water in their leaves.

1. Soil:

The soil for this money tree plant should be filled with porous material because it does not grow well in soil that will make the water to stagnate. When the water needs to flow down, the soil should be filled with gravel so that the water seeps down.

2. Watering the money tree plant:

The water for the money tree plant should be very limited. This is because if you pour a lot of water, the plant will die. In fact the plant needs water only once in a week or twice in a week especially in the winter months. In the summer, if the soil is very dry, then the watering can be done once every two days.

3. Sunlight:

The money tree plant should not have direct sunlight as this can make the plant wither away. The plant can be kept inside the house either near a window or the door where there is minimal sunlight. It would be best if the plant has sunlight for about two to three hours a day. Even this sunlight would be good if it is not direct sunlight.

4. Pruning the money tree plant:

Pruning should be done once the plant has grown to a size of about one feet. The branches that arise from the sides should be pruned and this will help the plant to grow better.

5. Propagating the money tree plant:

The money tree pant can be easily grown into a new plant from the leaves or the stem of the plant. This is also good because the money tree plant can be grown in another pot if a person wants another plant.

These are the various methods of taking care of a money tree plant. This will also help to be like a hobby for the person who lives in a city with so many pressures of life.
