How to get Thick hair with Thin HairBY: nikis-misc | Category: Women | Post Date: 2008-11-16
First, thin hair wearers, do not use store bought shampoos and conditioners, most are not ph balanced for our hair. A normal PH balance is approx. 5.5 and a good shampoo or conditioner will advertise this. When you have thin hair you need to use the appropriate lotions and tonics etc. to give the appearance of having anything but "thin hair". We seem to think that we just have to live with thin hair but we really don't, here's what I suggest, it worked for me! I went on a vitamin regimen 3 months ago. It contained Vegetal Silica and Biotin. Vegetal Silica is good for hair, skin and nails while Biotin is excellent for new growth. I take 1 vegetal silica vitamin and 1 biotin vitamin, both with breakfast. At lunch I do the same, at dinner I cut out the biotin and I do this daily. I also use products made for thin hair types and only from salons. Within the first week I not only noticed a huge difference in my hair but also my skin. I could actually go 2 days without washing my hair. Ladies, you know that this could never happen having thin hair, day 2 after not washing looks like we haven't shampooed our hair for about a week. Which by the way is the worst thing we can do, washing too often, the natural oils that accumulate in our hair help our hair. The longer we can go without washing the better. So now, not having to wash everyday and taking the vitamins, by week two I was swinging my hair around like those girls that do with "thick hair" WOW, what a feeling. It is important to stick to taking these daily. I did in fact stop taking the Vegetal Silica and noticed my hair go back to lifeless, limp and looking straggled by the end of the day. So, I quickly took the trip to the vitamin store and started up once again, noticing a huge difference in my hair once again after week one. More you can do is only deep condition your hair once every two weeks. Doing this more often will keep your hair lifeless. While shampooing your hair only do so at the roots because when you rinse out the shampoo it will run down the rest of your hair. Use products specifically designed for thin hair. I find the Hemp products have been working very well. Also, Paul Mitchell's Daily Moisture Conditioner is a nice lite way to condition your hair. A good Hair Stylist will be able to help you pick out the proper hair products for your type of hair. Getting a body wave or color will help to thicken your hair and taking these vitamins will help to keep it healthy while doing so. So good luck and I hope this works for our thin hair wearers...Till next time, Niki.
