Criticism is the activity of analyzing the facts and express it to the concerned person. Criticism is not actually fault-finding alone. After putting full efforts, if something goes wrong, we have to blame the circumstances only. We should not hesitate to take the responsibility for the happening of the event. We should be ready to face the criticism. The positive attitude and the courage are required to face any tough situation. The disappointment should not discourage us and if others speak harsh words, we should learn to set them aside. If we could not withstand criticism, that will create more problems. The feelings of the person making the criticism and the person who is being criticized should not be affected. The making of criticism, facing criticism and accepting criticism pave way to success and these are the important leadership qualities a person should possess, for becoming a leader.

Constructive criticism: We should learn to make constructive criticism about others. The knowledgeable persons have the quality of making constructive criticism. They apply the knowledge to criticize a person in such a way to convince and make him to accept his views, without hurting him in any way. The constructive criticism should help a person to get an uplift for improvement. We should not make constructive criticism on an unknown person. The person should have regard for our words. Then only, we could express our views. The constructive criticism may be between employer and employee, parent and child, teacher and student, between friends and close relatives.

Destructive criticism: The destructive criticism is just the opposite of constructive criticism. It is harmful to the receiver and it affects the reputation, regard and self-esteem of the person whose actions are being criticized. We should not hurt anybody by intentionally making destructive criticism. Some people unknowingly make destructive criticism and repent afterwards. They should ask excuse from the concerned person for hurting his feelings. We should understand the pain of the receiver and take remedial action to console him. We should not raise the emotion of the receiver, by our destructive criticism, as it may spoil his health.

Accepting criticism: We should always be ready to accept our negative qualities and try to overcome our lapses. We should make self-criticism and rank us and take positive step for improvement of good qualities. Some people consider us as their enemies even though we don't think so. If we fall, they feel happy. We could pray to God to save them from doing such unjustified acts. If we are strong, we could accept our fall courageously.

Facing criticism: The people succeeded in life, could have faced criticism. They could have learnt to master the art of overcoming from the challenge of criticism. The people who could not bear criticism are very weak in nature. We could not say that all the critics are genius. We should make ourselves strong by welcoming criticism. The person making the criticism should think well, before doing it. We should first point out the positive qualities of the person about whom we are going to criticize so that he will not feel that we are finding fault with him unnecessarily. We should explain clearly and precisely our points, without hurting him. We have to say the solution and alternative ways to come out from the problem. We should take interest in following up the matter and help him to solve the problem.
