A leader is usually said to be a born leader. This means to say that the person is someone who is usually born with certain leadership qualities. The leadership qualities of the person may have been part of the genetic make up of the person, but the person also has to put in a lot of effort and be bold and strong to become an actual leader. There may be hundreds of people who are not born leaders, but become leaders from their own effort. There are certain important qualities that every leader should have and they are all listed here. 1. Ambition: The primary aspect that has to be remembered by a person who is a leader or a person who wants to be a leader is to have a lot of ambition to be successful in life. This ambition will drive the person to achieve more and also try to do new things and be innovative. Ambition in a person is the primary factor that will make the difference from a person who is a leader and a person who follows all other people around. 2. Foray into new things in life: A person who is a commoner or a follower would never try to be innovative and do new things. Instead, the person would just be silent and keep to himself or herself. A leader on the other hand would never be quiet, but instead, try to foray into newer aspects and try to build things, be it relationships or even other aspects of an organization. 3. Challenges and facing them bravely: Another important difference between a leader and a person who is a follower is that the leader always tries to face the challenges that comes in the way, but a person who only like following others would try to run away from the challenges. This fear of challenges in a person is a marker to differentiate between a leader and a person who follows. 4. Focus: The person who is a leader has another quality that highlights the leadership of the person. The focus that the person has on various aspects of life is a very important identity that makes a person a leader. A person who does not have the quality to be a leader never has the focus in life and instead is very wayward. This means that the person is not able to concentrate on a problem at hand. 5. Making new Followers: A leader is a person who is able to impress others with words and also deeds. This ability to impress with words and deeds makes the person to be able to make new followers. This makes the persons position as a leader to be more stable. This is an important factor that differentiates a leader and a follower. These are the various qualities that every leader should and will have. If any one or more of these qualities are not present in a person, then the person will not be a leader anymore and will slowly lose the position as a leader.
