Most of the human beings get closer to religion and God only when they have problems. This is more so when the problem is a disease. Regular prayer and religious activities will give peace to many people. 5. Family support: This is the most important thing that is necessary for the person to feel happy and be able to cope. The family also should understand the situation of the sick person and not distance themselves from the sick person. The sick person should have adequate time to themselves. At the same time, they should also feel that they are still an integral part of the family. Whenever possible the sick person should be made to participate in various family gatherings and rituals.
