But in this case, what can we do to recover windows password? Don't worried, here is some ways to recapture the password.

1. think!!!(easy but mad)

at the login screen, click on the question mark button. If you have given yourself a hint, you will see a bubble pop up with text that you inputted when you originally made the password. Try to think of every possible thing that would relate to that hint and try typing it in. Don't give up too easily. If you solve it here, you will be done.

2. login with the account -administrator- and blank password(try, it's simple)

Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type -Administrator- (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows. Now you can reset your account password from -Control Panel -> User Accounts-. Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen. Windows creates the account automatically when we install windows.

3. Use a password reset disk(did you set it before?)

a. Restart the computer.

b. On the Windows XP logon screen, click the user name that you want to use, and then press ENTER.

c. Click Use your password reset disk. The Password Reset Wizard starts. The Password Reset Wizard enables you to create a new password for your user account.

d. In the Password Reset Wizard dialog box, click Next.

e. Insert the password reset disc into the CD drive, and then click Next.

f. Type a new password in the Type a new password box, and then type the password again in the type the password again to confirm box.

h. In the Type a new password hint box, type a hint for the password, and then click Next.

i. Click Finish, and then try to log on to Windows XP again.

4. Reset password from another user account with administrator credentials

a. Restart the computer.

b. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE two times, and then type the name of the administrator user account.

c. In the Password box, type the administrator password, and then click OK.

Note If the administrator password is set to a blank password, do not type a password before you click OK.

5. Do-It-Yourself third party recovery tool(good way but not free generally)

There are many windows password recovery tool. Such as ophcrack, windows password recovery. But how to do??

Then following it step by step:
