Diseases have been the cause of untold suffering in the human race. Alternative medicines including herbal and plant based medicines have shown the way to cure many diseases. These have negligible side effects when compared to the chemicals that are taken in with each dose of drugs got from the pharmacy.

The advantages of using lemon for their health benefits are:

The various medicinal uses and health benefits of lemon:

According to Ayurveda, the body can be either hot or cold. Even the foods in the body can be considered as either hot or cold. Lemon is considered to be a type of food that helps to reduce the heat in the body.

4. Skin problems: Lemon is also used as a treatment for various skin problems. This is a natural cure and is used as part of herbal medicine and also in traditional medicine to cure warts, burns, dandruff and other similar conditions. This is because lemon can be used as a disinfectant. This can be possible because lemon is strongly acidic because of the citric acid present in the lemon juice. This is a major health benefit of lemon and it is also used in doing facial massage as part of the beauty aid in beauty parlours.
