The High Density Lipoprotein is a very important part of the cholesterol that helps to prevent the person from getting various diseases. This is because the High Density Lipoprotein along with the omega 3 fatty acids reverses the various effects of the Low Density Lipoprotein and the Very Low Density Lipoprotein that are present in the body. The High Density Lipoprotein also plays an important role in maintaining the health of the person.
There are various foods that are very rich in High Density Lipoprotein. These foods should be consumed in large amounts to make sure that the person has good health. This article gives a list of the foods that are very high in the High Density Lipoprotein.
1. Flax seeds:
The flax seeds are one of the primary components of the omega 3 essential fatty acids that help to increase the levels of the High Density Lipoprotein that is also called as the good cholesterol in the body. Eating adequate amounts of flax seeds in various preparations will help the person to have high levels of High Density Lipoprotein in the blood.
2. Sea fish:
Sea fish are not just a source of omega 3 fatty acids, but they also help to increase the levels of High Density Lipoprotein in the blood. They also help to decrease the Low Density Lipoprotein in the blood. This makes them very important and all people who consume sea fish regularly have been found to healthier with efficient hearts. These people have decreased heart diseases. This is especially true for the Japanese people who have been eating a lot of sea fish as part of their diet.
3. Raw onions:
The regular consumption of raw onions are another important method of increasing the High Density Lipoprotein levels in the blood. The fact is that people do not regularly consume raw onions because of the smell that it has on the breath of the person. This apart, if the person really wants to be healthy, then raw onions should be part of the diet and can be consumed as salads.
4. Cranberry juice:
This is one of the best juices that have the health benefits of increasing the levels of High Density Lipoprotein in the blood. A person can drink a glass of cranberry juice to be healthy and also have a healthy heart.
5. Fibre rich food:
Another important and simple method of increasing the level of High Density Lipoprotein ion the blood is to eat a diet that is very rich in fiber. There are various foods that are rich in fiber and they all help to increase the levels of High Density Lipoprotein in the blood.
The use of soy and various related products help to increase the levels of High Density Lipoprotein in the blood. The soy can be consumed as soy milk, tofu and other forms to gain the benefits related to increased levels of High Density Lipoprotein.
There are certain foods like alcohol, trans fatty acids and refined foods that help to decrease the High Density Lipoprotein levels and these foods should be avoided at all costs to have a positive health benefit.
