The cooking done with love and affection makes the food more tastier. We almost cook daily but we may not enjoy cooking or have the right mood to enter the kitchen. How to change the mood and bring involvement in cooking? Cooking is an art. We should feel proud if we know how to cook food. When are we loosing mood and interest in cooking and how to overcome? Getting up early and allotting enough time for cooking is important. Proper planning is essential to start cooking. After doing something, if we decide menu, it may not work out well. We have to keep the ingredients ready beforehand. If something is missing, that will spoil our mood. The persons those who could assist could remain in kitchen, while cooking. When we are accompanied by persons irritating us, we would lose our mood for cooking. When we are physically sick having headache or fever, the health may not permit us to stand in kitchen. At that time we may want to return to bed soon. Spending lot of time in the kitchen and preparing variety of foods are impossible at that time. We could ask others to cook for us at that time. If nobody could help us, we could simplify cooking task and prepare simple dishes. When we are upset, our mind would not cooperate well for cooking. Even if we do the cooking work as usual, something may be missing. Some people to get relief from worries, enter kitchen and spend their time in cooking. That is good. If the cooking job increases our sorrow, better to stay away from it or limit the number of items to be prepared. Some people when they are angry and could not show their anger to anybody, show everything in cooking, which spoils the food. Going out for sometime and spending time with nature could help us enjoy and to change the mood when we are physically tired or mentally ill. Sometimes, when any guests come or phone bell rings, we may have to move out of kitchen for sometime. When we return, the food may be burned which tastes bad and causes indigestion also. After seeing that, we won't have the mood to cook other items, Leave it. It may happen sometimes. Some people like to listen music or play radio and hear some interesting news while cooking. Some like to sing while cooking. Keeping an eye on TV and doing cooking in between the commercial break is not good. We could watch interesting cooking programs in TV. We could get a mood to try new dishes or the dishes shown in TV. If we go through recipe and cookery books/websites, we would be getting lot of ideas for cooking new dishes. While arranging for party and inviting guests, the cooking arrangements should be made well in advance. We should make alternate arrangements for some dishes, if they go wrong. When the guests are at home, our concentration would be in talking and listening to them which may cause damage to the food cooked at that time. So, finish off everything before the guests come and enjoy your time with them. The working women after returning home from a tiresome work, should not enter kitchen immediately and start cooking for dinner. They should relax for some time, drink a hot cup of tea or coffee, listen to TV or radio, have a talk with family members and then move to kitchen. Rarely, making changes in the schedule and going out for dinner may change the mood. Wishes for you to enjoy cooking and being in a good mood to cook.
