There are many instances about cheating, fake identity and other ill practices taking place in the entrance examinations. Mainly on the professional entrance examinations for medical engineering courses, fraudulent acts have been widely practiced. The politicians, businessmen and other rich people make the poor inteligent students write the entrance exams on behalf of their lazy and untalented children. Poor students have been made puppets by the rich by offering them money in return. It has become an easy way of buying the seats for the children of rich parents. Corruption has been taking place amongst the officials aswell who are involved in fake appearance to the examinations. Things like verifying the students with the help of proofs such as photos verifications, validation of the application details etc. have been ignored by receiving the bribes by the employees. Many times, invigilators have been bribed to support the malpractices in the examination halls. In such cases invigilators themselves save the students from getting caught by the squad which has been assigned for surprised ride to catch the malpractice. In this year during the COMED-K entrance examination which are meant for the engineering merit seats of private institutions, there were about sixty fake candidates who have been caught. They all had appeared for the examination, on behalf of the children of rich parents. They had agreed that, they have been bribed to do so. Sixty people were caught by the authorities. But there may be hundreds of successful fake instances. That too, sixty was the number caught during the seal counseling. There were many instances which were caught during the examination as well. So we need to have strict measures to control the corruption in the entrance examinations, to protect the interest of the merited and hardworking students.
