Hi..let me tell you something about the communication skill. The communication skill defines the personality of a person. It is main factor which decides what others can do for you or what you can get it done by others. It is not just about public speaking, even about the conversation with the individuals too. First of all the way you start your conversation matters very much. Greet them with good smile and with a best way of addressing. Understanding the locality of the people and showing the culture of that locality will be helpful to make him to get attracted towards you. Try to understand his areas of interest in the beginning of the conversations and continue in the same line. When the listener wants to speak, please stop for him and listen to him and compliment him for what he says. The best speaker will always be a good listener. The listening skill has the direct relation with the speaking skill. You need to understand what the listener wants rather than what you have in your mind to say. Using the simple and understandable language is very important. If the language is very complicated and listener's concentration may turn into something else. Using the familiar proverbs may add value to your words. Even the age and the sex of the listener matters. Dress of the speaker can decide the respect for him in the minds of the listener. One more thing. The smile is more formal than laugh. A good speaker should prefer mixing the smile in speech rather than laugh. Sometimes laugh may be offensive.
