Common pains that can be a sign of a major disease

Pain is a simple condition that can actually signify the presence of a more dangerous disease that is lurking in the body. There are many people who suffer from different kinds of aches and pains. The most common ones are at the joints. The joint pains are usually signs of ageing and they may not really signify the presence of any major disease. There are other pains and aches though that signifies the presence of major problems in the body.

This article lists a few aches and pains that make one to understand the severity of the problem if ignored. These pains should not be ignored, but immediately attention should be given to make sure that the cause of the pain is identified and treated promptly.

1. Head ache:

Head ache is a common problem that is faced by many people. Almost all of us have had head ache at one point in our life from a young age to even old people. This pain in the head can be just a migraine, but it can also signify a more sinister problem and that is the tumor in the brain that may need immediate intervention to make sure that you do not need to suffer a lot later on.

2. Severe back pain that is shooting:

Severe back pain can signify the presence of a tumor in the back or even a disc prolapse. Each of these conditions can make limitation in your activity and have to be treated immediately to ensure good health.

3. Chest pain:

There are various causes of chest pains, but a person who has pain in the chest should immediately visit a physician to make sure that the pain is not of cardiac nature. Many people visit the physician as soon as they have chest pain and they are treated, but there are also some more people who ignore the pain thinking that the pain may be due to heartburn. This can sometime be fatal, especially if the pain is due to some cardiac problem.

4. Calf pain:

Calf pain only on walking may mean that you are walking for a long distance, but the same calf pain if it is present when you are resting too can mean a more severe disease condition that is usually a deep vein thrombosis. This is a very severe disease because it can cause the person to have limitation in activity and there can also be a chance of an emboli that can be life threatening.

5. Pain on urination:

When a person has pain on urination, it an mean that there is a block in the body and this usually means that the person has either a bladder cancer or a prostrate cancer. This pain signifies these diseases if you have the burning sensation even after you drink a lot of water.

6. Severe abdominal pain:

This is one of the pains that people consider to have been caused by indigestion. This is also true in many of the people who suffer from this kind of pain. There may also be some other cause of the abdominal pain that is more dangerous and these include pains like acute appendicitis that needs immediate surgery and treatment. IF not operated, it can be life threatening. This is one of the main reasons that abdominal pain should not be ignored.
