There is a saying in Epics. "Udhoyagam purusha lakshanam" "Career is a sign of a gentleman". This saying is no more relevant because of careers far from home. Now both men and women need to have a career in order to have a good life and dignity in the society. Many a times, people happen to find a job, far away from their home and they have to leave their home in order to be able to earn a living. Especially the qualified people from small cities and villages cannot find a suitable job for themselves in their home towns. They need to find a job in bigger cities. In India, Bangalore has been one of the main places where people come from all over India to start their career. With good qualification and communication skill, it is not difficult for them to find a decent paying job, but they have to go through the pain of staying away from their family.

In the beginning they may not feel the pain of missing family and their native place but as time goes on and when they start feeling the stress at works and the mechanical life in their offices, they realize the need and importance of family members. Whatever luxurious life one can have with all the facilities in the big cities, the fun time one could with his friends, colleagues or with a girlfriend or a boyfriend would no where compensate for the missing love of the family members. Only regular visits to the native place would bring the happiness of being with the family.

But due to the busy schedules, the difficulty in a long journey etc. people generally do not visit their native places regularly and so they tend to miss their family members. Writer of this article is one amongst them. I stay three hundred Kilo Meters far from my home. Just two days in a month I am able to spend with my with my family. I just curse the destiny and accept it as it comes. Many things in life we have no way but to accept it. The missing moments themselves make the meeting moments sweeter and more memorable and then a career away from home is not so painful.
