Getting your own shed plans and building your own shed can be rewarding. First and probably most important in this economy today is that you can save yourself a couple of hundred dollars. Second you have a lot more options in your design plan and third when your all done and stand back and look you have a sense of pride. There are factor's to consider before purchasing your plans. What do you want to use your shed for? Where is it going to go, and what are your local zoning laws. Most towns require a permit to put up a shed. My town for example requires that you have a permit if you want to put up anything 10' by 12' or larger. I don't want to discourage you from getting your plans but I want to be honest before you find out by a complaining neighbor.
