Moments I spent with my sister in my childhood are unforgettable. We use to play many traditional games together. We used to catch fishes from the river. She was the one who use to drag me to school, by holding my hand if i didn't want to go. It is an old practice in our culture to arrange the marriage of a girl at the age of sixteen. I was eleven when she got married. Brother and sisters born in the same home naturally get tied up in an emotional way. But as we grow up, only the brothers remain in the home. Sisters go to their husbands home and live with them. Naturally brothers and sisters separation after the sisters marriage is inevitable and is very hard on both the brother and the sister who have spent all of their childhood together. This is a very painful aspect of life. Once our sisters get married, they cannot spend as much time with us as they were spending before the marriage. Especially for the girls it is a very painful experience. Girls need to adjust in to the environment of their husbands home. They may not find the friendly environment that they had in their own home, with their family members. Instead they have to fulfill the responsibilities of being a wife. Many times they find their husband' home uncomfortable because of the issues of dowries. Girls have a lot a dreams about their married life. But the issues like dowry spoil all their happiness. It breaks all their dreams. It makes them think about the sweet memories of their childhood days, which can never come back now. But this is the fact about life. We have no way, but to accept it as is. Many things in our life require us to adjust accordingly and to live our life accordingly.
