Motherhood opens a wide new world for you altogether. It makes you gain an entry into a different school where you keep learning and observing new things each day. Some of them leave you spellbound, others teach you how to use your words appropriately. The little teachers in this school have their own peculiar teaching methodology and assessment criteria. My naughty little toddler has this peculiar observation and decision making ability and can relate any two things which by normal human logic don't fall into a common vicinity. I have always been amazed by their innate ability to display their emotions with a mother. Right from their initial few months of their life in a womb, it's a wonder how they can sense and respond to her touch and words by their sudden spurt of tiny kicks and bumps. Joys of motherhood are infinite. My mother is the most beautiful woman on this earth. We as grown ups have always sometime or the other felt and expressed this somewhere. My baby has a different way of putting this. Whenever I am about to read a magazine or a newspaper, he will spot me from any end and come rushing in my lap. He will flip hastily through the pages till he spots a beautiful woman from any ad. And unexpectedly he will shout pointing to that lady - mamma !! That's his mamma - a very pretty woman with a smiling face and matchless beauty. He will keep on insisting he is right till the time I agree yes this is mamma., and his eyes start sparkling with that triumphant twinkle. Ever wondered why you are so beautiful for your child? Did anybody make you realize like this how beautiful you actually are? Children just have their own minds with their own little but weird decisions. Just notice the way he touches your face exploring every nook and corner particularly your cheek. Love the feeling when his tiny hands glide over my cheeks and clumsily make their way into my eyes forcing me to stop him. Sudden spurts of love. Perhaps they have their own way of defining beauty. Maybe its just the perfect mixture of security, comfort and warmth that he sees and seeks in his mother. It's the pleasant smile, loving eyes and soothing touch that he craves from you. He probably wont really be bothered when you are near him, visible to him, but the moment you vanish , his need for the security of your presence overpowers his otherwise busy mind. That's your beauty. And he wont allow anyone or anything to steal even a small tinge of your splendour. The other day he just happened to see me cry , and how concerned he was! He came running and clinged to me like a little monkey and with his little uncoordinated hands he wiped of my tears and gave me a huge bear hug!!!! Awesome. I never felt so important in my life. Ever since my baby has been born , there is a different kind of confidence in me, which just keeps on increasing day by day. I realized my worth for him and I cherish it. Daily he makes me feel how much he needs and what I mean to him. And above all he has made me feel how beautiful I truly am.
