Women are the most beautiful people on this planet! A world without women is hard to imagine. Women, since time immemorial have been pillars of a home and society. Women are multi skilled, sensitive, articulate, intelligent, sensible, the list can go on! She strikes a perfect balance between her home and work life and caters to every need of the family. She has proved to be an able manager, a caring mother, a loving wife and discharges all her duties with great ease and skill. She is indeed a pillar of strength and her emotional quotient is remarkable. She spreads happiness and cheer all round. Of course, the modern woman is ably supported by man in all that she does. It is lovely to be a woman and have the best of both worlds! This probably is true for a section of society. It is unfortunate that inspite of these virtues woman is considered lowly! Her life is squashed before birth and she is considered a burden by many families. The pathetic ration of men and women is standing testimony to this fact. Who is responsible for this disparity? When will she get her due? We hear gruesome tales of a single woman marrying five brothers in a family. We hear of villages which have not seen a bride being married off from a village; simply because there has not been a single girl child born in that family. We also bear witness to bride burning, dowry deaths and so on! It is barbaric that in this world of today we bear testimony to such acts. Respect women and give them their due.
