What is Bachelors Party?
The Bachelors party is private party kept for the groom (bride-groom to be) before marriage. "Bachelors party" is a guys party while the girls party which is less popular is called the "Bachelorettes party". The friends of groom (still a bachelor), throw a party for him, and it is often the the last opportunity to engage in activities a new partner might not approve of, but mostly it is all about food, dancing, bonding within male friends, drinking alcohol and some adult talks. The bachelors party is all about having fun and male-bonding at the end of the day.

Who pays for the bachelors party?
It is paid and organized by the friends of groom usually about a week before his marriage. Many friends like to keep it as a surprise, while others like to have a brief discussion with the guy himself if he has objection to any event which is being kept in the party. The best man (or grooms best friends) organize the party, decide a budget, location and the guest list. The bachelors party may last for a few hours to even the entire night. Avoid collecting money during or after the party. always contribute some extra money in case the expenses run over, you can always return the money later or buy the groom a nice gift.

Where does the Bachelor party takes place?
Since it is a "Guys Day Out", the events usually occurs in a club, bar or a at close friends home. People with higher budgets may organize it in a farm house or book high end clubs. Bachelor's party is usually organized in a place where everyone feels free without the fear of getting embarrassed during the event (or later).

What happens in Bachelors party?
There are no fixed rules in a bachelors party, it is all about giving a enjoyable and memorable time to the guy getting married. Pranks at the groom's expense are also common. Following are a few things that may happen in bachelor's party:

1. Drink alcohol - Beer, vodka, scotch, martinis, margaritas etc..
2. Great food - Atleast a few entries which are groom's favourite dishes.
3. Rocking music and a lot of talking.
4. Favourite movie (especially comedies) and/or old pictures.
5. Games or gambling.
6. Telling embarrassing stories about the groom.

Some parties may get a bit naughty, like going to a strip club or hiring a stripper, sexy hostesses, pole dancers, lap dance or belly dancers. Never force physical contact onto anyone. If you plan to take alcohol in the party, it is a good idea to hire a taxi on your way back. Make sure people don't drive home drunk, especially in front of your bride parents. Give a little bit idea to all the guests attending the party so that no one arrives with misconceptions.

Other clean creative ideas include:

1. Sporting Events - Play cricket, soccer
2. Go for a guys only camping
3. A night out of the town
4. Dressing up in funny clother, how about making the poor guy wear girls clothes including lipstick, then snap a few pictures.
5. Go-carting
6. Casino Trip
7. Fishing trip
8. Poker Night
9. Playing golf/pool.

Is Sex common in Bachelors party?
No, even though many people think that Bachelor's party is all about sex, thats NOT true. Most grooms will usually not indulge in sexual activities either because of ethics or with the fear it comming in knowledge of his bride later. But some bachelors parties do hire escorts (and do sexual acts with them), bottom line there is no fixed rule. Involving in sex with another girl just before marriage is a very risky choice. Keeping things to belly dancers, sexy hostesses going to club for pole dancers etc.. and limiting it there is probably the max. one should do. Every girl has a different tolerance level, therefore events happening in the bachelors party should be done in such a way that if those events come in the knowledge of your bride later your relationship should not turn sour. Make it a joyous occasion and not an embarrassing one.

Popular themes of Bachelors party:
1. Bon-fire theme: Everyone wears casual clothes and seating arrangement is done around the bonfire. Good for smaller groups.
2. Halloween theme: Guests wear scary dresses, masks or very unusual dresses. The waitresses are told to atleast wear red horns.
3. Holi theme: Everyone wears white and then play with colors during the party.
4. Modern Mughal-e-Azam theme: Royal reception to the groom and is made to wear crown. Decoration is done haveli style and everyone wears traditional or Mughal style clothes.
5. Beachwear and bermuda party theme.

OK guys .. time for a bachelors party now, let the drums begin !!
