Cricket is a game that is followed by many countries around the world. For those who play cricket and also watch the game, the Australian team is a dream team. The reason for this is that the Australian cricket team is the only team that has consistently performed on the world stage.

The Australian team is a class apart from the rest of the cricket teams. There are many reasons for their success. Some of the reasons for their success are listed below

1. Motivation: The members of the Australian cricket team are highly motivated. They play as if the world if the prize. The team only plays to win. Each of the team members play their best game in each game. They are not distracted by anything else. This high level of motivation in each member of the team is the primary reason for the success of the team.

2. Training: The training program scheduled for the team members are very rigorous. In spite of this each member of the team undergoes the training. Even the senior members of the team are not given excuses to skip the training. Only if the individual is fit does the management allow the players to play. This keeps all the players fit and match ready at all times.

3. Complacency: Another important reason for the continued success of the Australian cricket team is the lack of complacency in the cricket team. Most of the other cotemporary world cricket teams are very inconsistent in their games. The Australian team is very consistent. The reason is that each of their teams win is taken in the stride and it does not go to their head. This keeps them wanting to win more and more games.

4. Team effort: Each member of the Australian cricket team complements the other. The effort to win is shared by each of the team member. They do not think that a single-handed effort by one player will be enough. This makes each player to fight hard for the win.

All these reasons have made the Australian cricket team into the world-beaters that they are today. There may have been a few discouraging performances in recent times, due to the retirements of certain senior players. In spite of this, Australian team will fight back and corner glory.

If we too follow the same principles, not only in cricket, but also in life then we can become world-beaters in whatever work we may do.
