The Asia Cup was first played in 1984 which was won by India.the second was played in 1986 which was won by Sri Lanka.But in 1988 India won it again and took hat tirck in winning it till 1995. Sri lanka broke India`s record by winning it in 1997.Then Pakistan registered their first win in 2000 which was a joy for the people of Pakistan.In 2004 Sri Lanka once again won it amazingly. And now in 2008 it will bw a tough challenge as there are 1 new team young team called Hong Kong. There will be new records set in this tournament as there are tough players of Asia. This tournament will be held in two grounds of Pakistan namely National Stadium Karachi and the other Gadafi Stadium Lahore. It will start from 24th of June and end on 6th of July 2008.The final will be held at Karachi. The first round will be played from 24 th June to 4th of July and then direct to the final.There will be no semi-finals. The Pakistan`s team will be led by a promising captain Shoaib Malik. The young guns,Indian team will be led by their wicket keeper batsman Mahendera Singh Dhoni. The Sri Lankan team by Mahela Jawardene who led his team to the world cup finals.The bangladeshi team by Muhammad Ashraful. Uae will be led by Saqib ALi. The Hong Kong team by Tabarak Dar.The grounds of Pakistan will be full of crowd as the Pakistanis are crazy about cricket.There will be two groups A and B.In A there will be Sri Lanka,Bangladesh and UAE and in B there will be Pakistan,India and Hong Kong.Hoping for the best team wins it.
