Are you Lonely?

Loneliness is a feeling that comes from within, its a desire to have somebody in your life that will be there for you no matter what, a person that you can talk to and rely upon. This somebody can be anybody including a friend, relative, next door neighbour, morning walk pal or just anybody. However, most of us desire that someone to be our life partner, our soul mate. We human beings by nature are social beings and we all need to interact with people, have a desire to be wanted and loved, when this desire is not fulfilled, we get lonely. To a certain extent it depends upon person to person, some people have no one in their lives yet they are not lonely whereas some people have so many people around them yet they are lonely.

Loneliness can sometimes go to the extent of becoming a disease that can haunt you all the time. Loneliness can lead to unhappiness and then depression which can eventually lead to some serious illness. Fighting Loneliness can be a difficult task here are some of the ways to avoid or get rid of loneliness -

Keep yourself Busy:
This is one of the best remedies of loneliness because if you keep yourself busy, you will hardly have time to realise that you are lonely. Be dedicated towards your work, join a Gym or some club, go for long walks, hiking to keep you occupied after work hours.

Develop a Hobby:
I have always believed that having a hobby makes one feel much better about oneself. Reading, writing, painting, cooking, pottery for that matter even stamps or coins collection can give you that additional happiness that you need. Once you have a hobby ther will be no time for loneliness.

Learn to love yourself:
It is very important to love yourself first, God has made all human beings equally good and no one has the right to look down upon you. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and each one of us is beautiful in some or the other way. Once you learn to love yourself only then will you be able to go out and make good friends that will love you in return and you will no longer be lonely. Learn to love they way you look, your likes and dislikes, just everything about yourself.

Keep a Pet:
Sometimes pets can be better friends that human beings because they are loyal to you at all times. You could keep a dog, cat, rabbit, parrot or any other bird or animal and learn to love and care for it.

So next time you are bored, lonely and stressed then try these tips.
